The first sights of spring often feel surreal, the initial buds and blooms are so fresh, bright and new. After a winter that seemed like it would never end, nothing compares to that of a budding tree! When the snow is still melting you can’t help but smile as you notice anything sprouting up, sound about right? The new blooms that come with spring are the light at the end of the tunnel, and you bet it’s warm on the other side of that tunnel!

Spring came and went faster than I was able to create this blog post! As it is now feeling more like summer, I wanted to slow down and take a minute to – well – stop and smell the roses, literally. I’m dedicating this post to those sweet blooms that don’t get enough time in the spotlight. The blossoms are so amazingly beautiful and are real source of inspiration. In the full swing of it, the trees seem to be in a constant explosion of petals, colour and fragrance.
These blooms open up endless shooting opportunities, flowers are natures props and backdrops. With enough Allegra-D in my system, it’s one of my favourite times of the year to shoot. Between styled shoots, engagement sessions and my own backyard {and maybe a few peoples front yards}…. I am never far from a flowering tree. Here are some of my favourite ‘bloomin’ photos from this spring as well as a few from the past years, enjoy!
